yesterday was probably a huge milestone for me in the viz. it started out kinda rough trying to get down setting keyframes and smoothing out animations. but after a few hours it was dialed. then i wanted to do a cw logo for our station bug. i tried modeling a bug using the poligon tool but i vomited on myself at the results i was seeing. then i stubled across an import button in the polygon window. hmm.. might i be able to import an illustrator file as paths to make my model? why hell yeah you can. so the cw bug was then created. not too bad. over night i thought of some ideas of animation to do with the bug and out of simplicity i decided to go with a nice little light sweep across it. so this morning i come in and messed around a bit and nailed it. later on in the morning our engineer comes and grabs me to show me we have our hd pass through working, sweet. one step closer to getting things on air.

yesterday i spent a great deal of time on the viz. i've read through most of the hands on stuff i've come across and the book is actually kind of hard to follow. viz rt is a french company so i don't think they know their english very well. but i've got basic animation down, scale, rotate, position and opacity. not too hard. figured out the options to change resolution and size, not too hard. i was digging around in the folders of the program and found a cool flash intro/tutrial guide thing that helped a lot. wished something, somewhere would have guided me there, haha. but all in all its all a learning process. if you are are new to viz and are looking for some more info feel free to email me xmcqueenx at gmail dot com. enjoi.

so i just started working with a viz rt. what is a viz rt you might ask? well its a sophisticated piece of computer software/hardware that does real time 3d motion graphics for on air presentation. you know those cool animations you see pop up on the bottom of the screen while watching a television programme? well that was probably viz rt in action. now i'm going to try and learn viz rt in the next coming weeks.
